General information
Andalusia is Spain’s great southern region, mixing Moorish heritage, cathedral cities, flamenco, tapas culture, white villages, Mediterranean beaches and dramatic mountain landscapes.
Trips and nature
The region ranges from the Sierra Nevada and dry inland hills to fertile river valleys, olive groves and the Costa del Sol. Summer heat inland can be fierce.
Food and atmosphere
Seville, Granada and Córdoba form one of Europe’s strongest cultural triangles, with the Alhambra, Mezquita, royal palaces, patios, festivals and deep Andalusian identity.
Transport and stay
High-speed trains link the main cities well. A car is useful for white villages, mountains, beaches outside the main resorts and slower rural routes.
