General information
Central Dalmatia is one of Croatia’s most popular travel regions, combining Split’s urban energy, UNESCO towns, famous islands, beaches, ferries and a strong Dalmatian lifestyle.
Trips and nature
The region has clear sea, limestone mountains, islands, beaches, pine forests and dramatic coastal views. Brač and Hvar add some of the classic Croatian island scenery.
Food and atmosphere
Diocletian’s Palace in Split, Trogir’s old town, Hvar’s Venetian layers and stone villages create a dense historical and cultural landscape.
Transport and stay
Split is the main ferry and transport hub. Ferries are central to island travel, and summer requires booking and patience.
