Green Hill Bikepark is a practical gravity stop in the Sauerland in North Rhine-Westphalia, built around repeat runs, quick returns to the top and slowly refining your line. Two parallel drag lifts using the Easy Loop system keep the day short-looped and intense. It works well as a full riding day for mountain bikers who want more than a short detour from a cycle route, without needing a huge Alpine resort.
Start on an easier warm-up trail and treat the first hour as terrain reading. Official information lists 11 trails, mixing flow trails, technical sections, jump lines and a practice area in the valley. After rain or a busy session, the same trail can feel very different, so current trail status and local closures matter more than a fixed plan.
The site is compact: parking, shop, basic tools, bike wash, rental and food are close together, so riding does not involve long transfers. Families and newer riders will get more from the visit by booking rental or coaching ahead and asking which first trail fits their level. Stronger riders can easily fill the day by rotating faster lines, features and more technical sections.
The lift attachment does not suit every cockpit equally; downhill forks need enough room for the loop, so ask the workshop if unsure. A full-face helmet, pads and properly checked brakes are not just nice extras here. Before travelling, check the operating day, weather and parking rules, because preparation often decides whether the day feels smooth or stressful.
