Mullerthal and Echternach are Luxembourg’s best-known nature and hiking region, often called Little Switzerland because of its rocks, forests and narrow paths.
Trips and nature
The region is full of sandstone formations, mossy forests, small waterfalls, gorges and marked hiking routes. It is ideal for active travellers.

Echternach is one of Luxembourg’s most historic towns, with abbey heritage, old streets and a calm borderland atmosphere near Germany.

Buses connect the area with Luxembourg City, but hikers may appreciate a car for trailheads and villages. Good shoes matter more than heroic ambitions.
