General information
Kurzeme is Latvia’s western region, mixing wild Baltic beaches, small towns, forests, dunes and a slightly independent coastal character.
Trips and nature
The region has long beaches, pine forests, dunes, river valleys and wide coastal landscapes. It feels quieter and more spacious than the Riga area.
Food and atmosphere
Liepāja brings music and port culture, while Kuldīga is known for its old town and broad waterfall. Kurzeme also has Livonian and maritime layers.
Transport and stay
Buses connect main towns, but a car is useful for beaches, villages, Cape Kolka and nature areas.
