General information
Malbun, Triesenberg and Alpine Liechtenstein show the country from its mountain side. Malbun is the main ski and hiking resort, while Triesenberg has beautiful valley views and Walser heritage.
Trips and nature
The area is surprisingly varied for such a small country, with Alpine meadows, ridges, mountain huts, viewpoints and marked trails. Summer is for hiking, winter for skiing and snow walks.
Food and atmosphere
Triesenberg is interesting for Walser culture and mountain identity. Malbun is more practical than glamorous, but calm and friendly. Food is Alpine: cheese, rösti, meat, soups, sweet dishes and hut cooking.
Transport and stay
Buses connect the valley with Triesenberg and Malbun, but a car gives more flexibility. In winter, road conditions and equipment should be checked.
