General information
Podolia, Vinnytsia and the western interior are a region of fortresses, rivers, canyons, castles, countryside and historic towns.
Trips and nature
The landscape is rolling, river-based and agricultural. The Dniester creates canyons and viewpoints, while Bakota is one of the most attractive scenic places in the region.
Food and atmosphere
Kamianets-Podilskyi and Khotyn are the main fortress highlights. The region reflects Polish-Lithuanian, Ottoman, Ukrainian, Armenian and Jewish layers. Food is Ukrainian and rural: borscht, varenyky, deruny, pastries, honey and fruit.
Transport and stay
Current safety and transport conditions must be checked before any planning. In normal times, the region works well as a road-trip area from Kyiv, Lviv or Chernivtsi.
