General information

Larnaca, Ayia Napa and the east coast are the easiest beach gateway to Cyprus, with a major airport, long season and popular resorts.

The area offers shallow beaches, clear sea, low cliffs and Cape Greco for walks, sea caves and snorkelling.

Food and atmosphere

Larnaca has deeper history with St Lazarus Church and Hala Sultan Tekke, while Ayia Napa and Protaras are more beach-focused. Food means meze, halloumi, souvlaki, fish and kleftiko.

Transport and stay

The region is easy from Larnaca airport. Buses work between resorts, while a car helps for Cape Greco and smaller beaches.
