Paphos, Akamas and western Cyprus combine archaeology, sunsets, beaches and the island’s wilder coastal landscapes.

Trips and nature

Akamas offers rocky coasts, sea caves, turtle beaches and walking trails. Spring is especially beautiful, while summer is hot but good for the sea.

Food and atmosphere

Paphos is one of Cyprus’s strongest archaeological areas, with mosaics, tombs and Aphrodite-related mythology. Food is coastal: fish, meze, halloumi, grilled meats and local wine.

Transport and stay

Paphos has an airport and works well as a western base. A car is almost necessary for Akamas and smaller beaches.
