General information
Klaipėda, Palanga and the Curonian Spit are Lithuania’s main coastal region, mixing port culture, resorts, dunes, pine forests and Baltic beaches.
Trips and nature
The Curonian Spit is the natural jewel, with high dunes, pine forests, lagoons and long beaches. The coast is best in summer, but atmospheric year-round.
Food and atmosphere
Klaipėda has German and maritime layers, Nida an artists’ and fishing-village feel, and Palanga a classic seaside-resort identity.
Transport and stay
Klaipėda is connected by train and bus. Ferries lead to the Curonian Spit, and a bike or car helps once there.
