Southern Serbia, Niš and Kopaonik combine Roman history, mountains, spas, monasteries and powerful food culture. Niš is one of the oldest cities in the Balkans.

Trips and nature

The region offers mountains, valleys and spa areas. Kopaonik is the best-known winter and summer mountain resort, while the south is warmer and drier.

Food and atmosphere

Niš is linked with Emperor Constantine, Ottoman history and fortress culture. Leskovac is famous for grilled meat. Food means pljeskavica, ćevapi, peppers, ajvar, kajmak and rakija.

Transport and stay

Niš has an airport and rail and bus connections. Kopaonik and smaller spas are easier by car.
