General information

Limassol and the south coast form one of the liveliest parts of Cyprus, mixing city life, beaches, archaeology, wine and easy access to the Troodos foothills.

Trips and nature

The region combines coast, vineyards and nearby hills. Beaches are practical rather than always romantic, while the wine villages are best in spring and autumn.

Food and atmosphere

Kourion, Kolossi and Limassol old town add history, while Commandaria and mountain villages bring wine culture. Food means meze, fish, grilled meats, halloumi and local wine.

Transport and stay

Limassol is well connected by motorway from Larnaca and Paphos. A car helps for Kourion, wine villages and beaches outside the city.
