General information
Ordino, La Massana and the Western Valleys are a quieter and more traditional side of Andorra, with stone villages, museums, mountain valleys, hiking, cycling and nature.
Trips and nature
The west has some of the country’s most attractive natural areas. Sorteny offers rich mountain meadows, Coma Pedrosa is the highest peak, and Pal-Arinsal works for skiing and summer activities.
Food and atmosphere
Ordino is one of Andorra’s most charming settlements, while La Massana is a practical mountain base. Food is Pyrenean and hearty: trinxat, grilled meat, sausages, cheese, mushrooms and soups.
Transport and stay
The valleys are reachable by bus or car from Andorra la Vella. A car helps for Sorteny, Pal, Arinsal and trailheads. The area suits hiking, cycling, skiing and quieter stays.
