General information

Malmö, Skåne and the Øresund are Sweden’s southern gateway, closely connected with Copenhagen. Malmö is multicultural and modern, Lund adds university tradition and Skåne brings gentle countryside and beaches.

Trips and nature

Skåne is flatter and more agricultural than much of Sweden, with long beaches, fields, beech forests and cycling routes. The coast is especially pleasant in summer.

Food and atmosphere

Malmö has modern architecture, food culture and a relaxed city feel. Lund brings medieval and academic layers, while castles and villages show the region’s older rural wealth.

Transport and stay

The Øresund Bridge makes travel between Malmö and Copenhagen very easy. Trains work well across the region, and a bike or car helps for beaches, castles and countryside.
