Les 7 Laux Bike Park

Les 7 Laux Bike Park is a practical gravity stop in Belledonne above Grenoble, built around repeat runs, quick returns to the top and slowly refining your line. The resort summer mode is clearly sporty: from Prapoutel you enter a trail network mixing open mountain sections, forested passages and wooden features. It works well as a full riding day for mountain bikers who want more than a short detour from a cycle route, without needing a huge Alpine resort.

Start on an easier warm-up trail and treat the first hour as terrain reading. The official description lists about 15 downhill trails: 3 green, 3 blue, 5 red, 4 black and the elite black Absinthe. After rain or a busy session, the same trail can feel very different, so current trail status and local closures matter more than a fixed plan.

Plan the day from the bottom upward: start with easier modules and berms around Prapoutel, then move to longer descents and finally the rockier high sections. Families and newer riders will get more from the visit by booking rental or coaching ahead and asking which first trail fits their level. Stronger riders can easily fill the day by rotating faster lines, features and more technical sections.

Difficulty here is shaped not only by trail colour but also by surface, gradient and features; after a storm or when tired, step back to a known line. A full-face helmet, pads and properly checked brakes are not just nice extras here.
