Geilo Bike Park: lift-served riding between Oslo and Bergen

Geilo is a practical Norwegian balance between access and mountain mood. It sits on both the Bergen Railway and RV7, so it is easy to fit into an Oslo-Bergen journey. The bike park area around Geilolia/Vestlia uses slopes above the valley, mixing forest, open views and the spacious feeling typical of Norway.

The descents are not only for aggressive downhill riders. If you travel by train, this is one of the simpler Norwegian bike park days: the station is central, services spread through the valley and the park needs only a short local transfer.

Norwegian weather deserves respect even in summer. Rain makes wooden features, roots and rocks much trickier, wind can affect lifts and some services run only in seasonal windows.
