Cortina Bike Park

Cortina Bike Park uses the huge stage of the Ampezzo Dolomites, where every turn seems to open a new view towards Tofana, Faloria or the towers above town. Compared with purely sport-focused parks, Cortina feels like a mountain resort that also has a bike park: after riding you are quickly back among cafés, rental shops and the evening life of the centre.

The park suits riders who want technical riding with Dolomite atmosphere. Around Socrepes and Tofana you get marked bike park trails, lift access and the option to connect with Cortina’s wider MTB network. Beginners should choose easier lines and consider a lesson or guide, because the local terrain is alpine, rocky and noticeably harder after rain.

Planning matters here more than in a small lowland park. Summer lift schedules, events in Cortina and high-mountain weather all affect how much riding you can fit in. Arrive with a margin, check the current trail map and leave time for mechanical care; sharp Dolomite rock is demanding on tyres and brakes.

Cortina is at its best as a long weekend: one day in the bike park, one day on a panoramic MTB route or hike, and evenings in a Ladin-Italian mountain town. Experienced riders get an attractive base, while families benefit from the wide choice of non-bike activities.
