Bikepark Kouty uses the long slopes of Medvedi hora above Kouty nad Desnou. Compared with more compact parks it feels distinctly mountainous: the lift collects the vertical metres and the descents are long enough for flow, forest rhythm and terrain reading to alternate naturally. The Jeseniky Mountains are not just a backdrop here; they shape the whole ride.
The park is a good choice for riders who want more time descending than moving between short features. Public route references include Koutikuv sen, Stara medvedice, Hrebenovka - Kouty and Uhlirska stopa, a mix of easier and faster mountain lines. Treat the first run as reconnaissance, because the length and cumulative fatigue can surprise even confident riders.
Kouty has the useful base of a winter resort: lift, parking, food and valley services. It also works well as part of a broader Jeseniky trip, especially if you want to combine riding with Dlouhe Strane or hiking in the mountains. The mood is less urban than bikeparks near large cities; it suits a proper mountain day rather than a quick evening stop.
Jeseniky weather can be sharp, so pack for cold, rain and pauses at the lift. In wet conditions expect roots, softer ground and longer braking distances. A full-face helmet, gloves and pads are not excessive here, just sensible equipment for long descents.
